Use of video technology in criminal interrogations is discussed.
Abstract
This speech discusses biological, sociological, psychological, and familial causes of violences. The speaker concludes that while each cause may have an effect on violence, psychological causes, i.e., developmental causes involving the family through which most sociological and biological factors are filtered, appear to be the most influential. He stresses the need to learn more about violence and its causes and urges a long-term national investment in research and development; the development of a coherent and coordinated Federal strategy for studying violence; the implementation of a comprehensive and inclusive violence research agenda; and the institution of a program of evaluated interventions to reduce violence. 27 endnotes
