Statistics compiled by the State of Washington's Department of Corrections for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1994 indicate that the daily inmate population averaged 8,542 in major correctional facilities and 1,190 in minor correctional facilities; rated capacities were 5,595 and 968, respectively, and 980 offenders were on work release.
Abstract
Detailed statistics are tabulated on the average daily population (ADP) and rated institutional capacity by month, the female ADP, inmate racial and age distribution, offense categories, violent crime convictions, and sentence characteristics. Data are also provided on prison admissions by month and type of admission, county of conviction, age, race, sex, sentencing authority, and offense type.
