"General Conditions" for OJP Awards in FY 2021

OJP expects that all (or virtually all) awards made in FY 2021 will include all of the award conditions set out below.

Individual awards typically also will include additional award conditions. Those additional conditions may relate to the particular statute, program, or solicitation under which the award is made; to the substance of the funded application; to the recipient's performance under other federal awards; to the recipient's legal status (e.g., as a for-profit entity); or to other pertinent considerations.

Part 200 Uniform Requirements

Background

  • On December 26, 2014, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published the Uniform Guidance: Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards in the Federal Register.
  • Uniform Guidance, sometimes referred to as the “Supercircular” or “Omnicircular” provides a streamlined government-wide framework for grants administration and management that consolidates requirements from eight OMB Circulars.
  • The Uniform Guidance was the result of years of collaboration between federal grant-making age
