The Compliant Products Lists (CPL’s) of equipment tested to National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standards can be found on the Criminal Justice Testing & Evaluation Consortium (CJTEC) website. There are CPL’s for Ballistic- and Stab-Resistant Body Armor, Combination (Ballistic & Stab-Resistant) Armor, and Autoloading Pistols.

Previously, the NIJ CTP operated a voluntary CTP for metallic handcuffs in accordance with NIJ Standard-0307.01. That program ended in 2016, and the standard’s NIJ list of approved restraints is no longer available. Metallic and nonmetallic wrist and ankle restraints are now tested by the Safety Equipment Institute in accordance with NIJ Standard-1001.00, Revision A (September 2019). Currently, no NIJ Standard exists to specifically address armored vehicles. Such items are generally covered under the provisions of NIJ Standard-0108.01: Ballistic Resistant Protective Materials. ASTM International does have several related standards that may be of interest: ASTM E3112/E3112M-20: Standard Test Method for Ballistic-Resistant Products and Shoot Packs and ASTM E3113-18: Standard Specification for Ballistic-Resistant Vehicle Door Panels Used by Public Safety Agencies.
