The FINDER project demonstrated that affordable and reliable distributed database designs are an acceptable model for rapid deployment and results. By using a service-oriented architecture combined with an application that is easy to use and provides real-time access in a federated environment, interjurisdictional information sharing is relatively easy to implement and operate.
