These tables present data on violent crime rates in 2018 for large U.S. cities (populations of 250,000 or more) and crime rates for the specific violent offenses of murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
Abstract
The tables include data on change over time in selected crime rates for each city. Data are from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program and are produced by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. The UCR program is a nationwide, cooperative statistical effort that encompasses crimes known to 18,000 city, university and college, county, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies that voluntarily report data on known crimes. 12 tables
