The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (PDMP TTAC) reports 2020 data and 2021 features of the Nebraska state Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

Abstract

The acronym for the Nebraska PDMP is NEHII. It is administered by the Department of Health. The email address is provided, along with the URLs for the PDMP website and a website with relevant statutes and regulations. Contact information is provided for VP Pharmacy Informatics and Lead Pharmacy Informatics. In 2020, the state population was 1,963,333, and there were 12,371 DEA-registered prescribers and 454 DEA-recognized dispensers. Nine data transmitters are listed. Substances monitored are those listed on Schedules II-V and naloxone/narcan dispensations. An alternate data source is patient lock-in information. There are 10 types of reports available from the PDMP. Four statistical capabilities are listed. Thirteen types of authorized PDMP users are listed, including prescribers, dispensers, Medicaid staff, healthcare professionals, and patients. Fourteen types of engaged PDMP users are listed.
