This Attendee Guide for the 2018 Body-Worn Camera Training & Technical Assistance National Meeting (March 27-28, 2018) provides information on the structure and content of the meeting, whose purpose was to create a forum for discussing important issues related to the implementation of a Body-Worn Camera (BWC) program.
Abstract
This is the third national meeting of these participants. This Guide outlines seven objectives of the 2018 meeting. One objective was to reinforce policy development and consider implementation as the cornerstones of successful BWC programs. A second objective was to deliver technical assistance to participating sites on predetermined and site-generated topics. A third objective was to review BJA's BWC performance Measurement Tool (PMT). A fourth objective was to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and networking. A fifth objective was to explain the array of TTA resources available and how to access them. A sixth objective was to examine new and emerging issues regarding BWCs; and a seventh objective was to discuss site progress, accomplishments, common challenges, and forward-looking strategies. Information on the agenda and logistics of the meeting are also provided in this Guide.
