This report portrays the operation of the Arizona court system for 1977 and can be used as an aid in the improvement of the judicial process.
Abstract
The report contains the administrative director's report; an explanation of the judicial branch of government in Arizona; new supreme court rules; and highlights of the functions of the Judicial Planning Committee, medical liability review panels, and the Commission on Judicial Qualifications. Also reported are activities relating to family counseling programs, judicial education, and State judicial and general fund expenditures. Statistics are presented for the State supreme court, the court of appeals (divisions 1 and 2), superior court, justices of the peace courts, and the Superior Court of Coconino County for 1912-1977. An organizational chart, lists of members of the judiciary and various commissions, and the Arizona Constitution are appended. Numerous tables and graphs are provided.
