This is a guide for use by State and local law enforcement trainers in member States of the Interstate Firearms Trafficking Compact when conducting training on firearms trafficking.
          Abstract
The training uses a modular approach, allowing curriculum content and order of presentation to be tailored to the needs of a particular audience. The curriculum is divided into five modules that cover a specific area of firearms trafficking information: Introduction, State Laws, Federal Laws and Regulations, Firearms Trafficking Investigations, and Tracking Firearms Origins. Each module contains goals and learning objectives, and activities containing information needed to meet the objectives. Each module also contains a preparation guide with practical suggestions for teaching that module, along with a list of materials to be used by the trainer. A summary of the module's main points is included at the end of each module along with questions and issues for discussion. The participant manual contains the goals, objectives, and activity outlines for each of the training modules and pre- and post-tests. Bibliography, appendix
