Several departmental programs are briefly described including the Drug Abuse Resistance (D.A.R.E.) program, the police chaplain corps, the Detroit Police Athletic League (P.A.L.), and the department's involvement in the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (N.O.B.L.E.). Another set of statistical tables presents offense-, arrest-, and offender-related figures.
