This publication is a solicitation overview for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Intellectual Property Enforcement Program.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) of the Office of Justice Programs published this solicitation overview for the Intellectual Property Enforcement Program. Eligible applicants include state, county, city, township, or special district governments; other small units of local government (e.g., towns, parishes, villages); Native American tribal governments (federally recognized); public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education; and state, local, tribal, municipal, or campus law enforcement agencies. Successful applicants will receive funding to support an intellectual property (IP) enforcement task force, or to plan to create one. The goal is to prevent and reduce intellectual property theft and related crime, as well as to support law enforcement in investigating and prosecuting IP crimes and reducing violent crime associated with IP cases. BJA encourages applications from agencies that have not previously received BJA funding and convening or governing bodies that can apply on behalf of one or more entities.
