Written for inmates and employees of the Kansas Department of Corrections, this manual explains the regulations for inmate conduct, discipline, grievance procedures, and related matters.
Abstract
Individual sections present the rules regarding clothing, hygiene, safety, appearance, living quarters, property, and money. Additional sections focus on penalties for violence, noise, lying, disobeying orders, threatening any person, arson, and other misconduct. Further sections focus on work assignments and performance, training, education, inmate communications and publications, the use of the law library, contraband, and conspiracies. Other sections describe general disciplinary procedures, hearings, reports and records, appeals, the use of administrative and disciplinary segregation, grievance procedures for inmates and parolees, and reporting procedures for loss or damaged property or personal injury.
