Abstract
A unit on "Introduction to Traffic" has the learning goal of developing the student's understanding of the goals of traffic enforcement. The learning goal for the unit on the "Vehicle Code" is to give the student a basic understanding of the California Vehicle Code and how to use it. A unit on "Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing Law" instructs the student in laws on vehicle registration, vehicle licensing, and driver licensing. The learning goal of the unit on "Vehicle Code Violations" is to give students an understanding of the Vehicle Code violations that most often cause traffic collisions. The unit on "Vehicle Code Arrest Procedures" instructs students in arrest procedures that are unique to the enforcement of the Vehicle Code. In addition to stating the learning goals for each unit, this manual also outlines performance objectives for each unit, the material and equipment required for instruction, and a unit content outline.
