Abstract
The commission's role within the criminal justice system is elucidated and its organizational structure delineated. Its components include the juvenile advisory commitee, regional committees, and the judicial advisory committee. The commission operates legal services, the bureaus of administration and finance, program services, regional operations, planning, and the audit division. Major commission functions and workloads include planning for justice system improvement, program development and technical assistance, and grant administration. Highlights of 1979 are in the areas of assistance to law enforcement; the courts, prosecution and defense; corrections; crime victims; juvenile justice. Charts are provided.
