Abstract
An overview of the department presents its statutory authorization; its history; duties and responsibilities; departmental organization; budget and staffing; and inmate population, capacity, and parole caseload. A review of central office administration profiles the office of the secretary and the divisions of facility management; program management; community and field services management; data and communication services; legal services and investigations; fiscal, budget, planning, and information analysis; and human resource management. A chapter on pre- incarceration corrections focuses on community corrections, correctional conservation camp, and probation. For each of these correctional components, information is provided on statutory authorization, mission statement, history, targeted population, covered services, funding, and program data. The chapter on incarceration provides the following information on each corrections facility in the State: mission, history, capacity and population, budget and staff, and programs. Post-incarceration programs are also reviewed, along with offender programs and highlights and accomplishments. 17 figures and 16 tables
