Abstract
The bibliography first lists resources that focus on leadership in general, followed by listings of publications that address specific features of leadership, leadership in corrections, and succession planning. The listings for specific characteristics and functions of leadership are categorized as follows: authentic leadership development, emotional intelligence, emotional regulation, Leadership Member Exchange (LMX) Theory, positive psychology, psychological capital, psychological safety, and transformational leadership. Listings that address leadership in corrections deal with such issues as leadership in community justice initiatives, preparing corrections leaders for the future, gender issues in corrections leadership, leadership in corrections transformations, leadership for prison wardens, recruiting and retaining staff through culture change, and jail management. Listings in succession planning pertain to policies and procedures that prepare current corrections personnel for future leadership roles.
