Abstract
CONFERENCE, HELD IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA, ON NOVEMBER 14-16, 1966, WAS SPONSORED BY THE JOINT COMMISSION ON CORRECTIONAL MANPOWER AND TRAINING AND THE SOUTHERN REGIONAL EDUCATION BOARD. IT WAS SUPPORTED BY THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION ADMINISTRATION AND THE OFFICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE. A FOLLOW-UP STUDY INDICATED THAT CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS HAD BEGUN PROGRAMS TO INCREASE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION ACTIVITIES IN CORRECTIONS AND TO INVOLVE MORE UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE PERSONNEL IN CORRECTIONAL TRAINING. AN APPENDIX CONTAINS A ROSTER OF CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS.
