PROGRAM PLANNING COVERS POLICE TRAINING, CRIME PREVENTION, POLICE COMMUNICATIONS, AUTOMATED RECORDS SYSTEM, A POLICE COMPUTER SYSTEM, AND ALCOHOL AND DRUG TREATMENT.
Abstract
INCREASED FUNDING FOR STATE CERTIFIED POLICE TRAINING ACADEMIES IS PLANNED. A CONCEPT PAPER DISCUSSING BUILDING SECURITY CODES IS PRESENTED. THE PUBLIC SCHOOL PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE TRUANT CHILD, THE REINTEGRATION INTO THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF THE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION RETURNEE, AND A PROGRAM OF RESEARCH INTO VANDALISM ARE DISCUSSED. A NEW CITY OFICE, THAT OF CITY ATTORNEY IS PROPOSED. IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED IN THE AREAS OF POLICE-COMMUNITY RELATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, POLICE MANAGEMENT, AND CRIME LAB SERVICES. PROGRAM PLANS FOR COORDINATED CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING AND RESEARCH ARO PROJECTED. PRIORITIES AND BUDGET NEEDS ARE LISTED FOR ALL PROGRAMS. DEMOGRAPHIC AND CRIME STATISTICS FOR THE CITY ARE EXHIBITED BY CENSUS TRACT.
