Abstract
VARIOUS METHODS FOR THE POLICE OFFICER TO CONTACT THE CORRECT PERSON OR AGENCY FOR REFERRAL TO MEDICAL, PERSONALITY, MARITAL, OR FAMILY PROBLEMS, ARE DESCRIBED. THESE SERVICES, ON A 24-HOUR A DAY, ON-THE-SCENE, BASIS ARE TENDING TO DISPEL THE IMAGE OF A POLICEMAN AS A HARDENED AND INSENSITIVE PERSON, AS WELL AS PROVIDING THE NECESSARY SERVICES. DANGERS OF THE SYSTEM ARE LISTED.
