This report highlights the activities of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services during fiscal year 1991- 1992.
Abstract
The introductory chapter overviews the Department's organization, statutory authority, purpose and goals, history, accreditation, and recidivism statistics. The Division of Administrative Services is responsible for the budget, fiscal management, purchasing and food service, engineering and management information, medical services, planning/research/accreditation and safety/sanitation programs, State prison industries, legal services, personnel management and training, and security coordination. The functions of the Division of Adult Institutions and the Division of Juvenile Services are described by facility. The program statement of the Classification and Correctional Programming Division covers inmate classification, mental health services, academic and vocational services, volunteer services, inmate programs, interstate corrections compact, and adult parole administration. 22 tables and 17 figures
