DETAILED PRESENTATION OF THE SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THESE TWO LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS.
Abstract
THE PURPOSE OF PROGRAM ONE WAS TO PROVIDE STATEWIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. PROGRAM TWO WAS CONCERNED WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF INSTRUCTION AND SUPERVISION DURING POLICE TRAINING AT THE OREGON POLICE ACADEMY. THE TWO PROGRAMS ARE DEALT WITH SEPARATELY IN THIS REPORT. THE GOALS OF EACH ONE ARE OUTLINED IN CHART FORM AND DISCUSSED. BRIEF EXPLANATIONS OF HOW EACH GOAL WAS ACCOMPLISHED ARE ALSO PRESENTED. THE MAJORITY OF THIS REPORT CONSISTS OF AN APPENDIX TO PROGRAM ONE (WHICH CONTAINS SAMPLE PROGRAM FORMS) AND 15 PROGRAM TWO EXHIBITS (VARIOUS INFORMATION ON THE OREGON POLICE ACADEMY AND ITS POLICE TRAINING COURSES).
