Abstract
THIS PAPER FOCUSES ON A METHOD OF ASSESSING THE INCIDENCE OF BOTH ERROR TYPES AND DESCRIBING THE BALANCE BETWEEN THEM. A FEEDBACK DEVICE IS DISCUSSED WHICH PROVIDES INFORMATION CONCERNING THE POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCES OF CHANGES IN PAROLE SELECTION POLICY UPON THIS BALANCE AND THE RESULTING SOCIAL COSTS. TABLES ARE PROVIDED WHICH DEMONSTRATE THE METHOD.
