Abstract
DATA WAS ASSEMBLED FROM SEVERAL SOURCES TO AID IN THE APPLICATION OF TECHNICAL STANDARDS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND PROCEDURES AND TO FACILITATE MORE COST EFFECTIVE SELECTION AND APPLICATION OF PHYSICAL SECURITY EQUIPMENT. A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF PHYSICAL SECURITY IS FOLLOWED BY CHAPTERS DEALING WITH THE USES, SELECTION AND INSTALLATION, AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF INTRUSION DETECTION ALARM SYSTEMS. APPENDIXES CONTAIN A LIST OF MANUFACTURERS OF INTRUSION DETECTION ALARM SYSTEMS; INTERIM FEDERAL SPECIFICATION FOR INTERIOR, PROTECTIVE ALARM SYSTEMS; AND A DRAFT OF DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY STANDARDS FOR INTERIOR INTRUSION DETECTION EQUIPMENT FOR PHYSICAL SECURITY APPLICATION.
