THIS MANUAL DISCUSSES WAYS TO FACILITATE ORIGINAL RESEARCH ON INNOVATIVE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES DELIVERY TECHNIQUES.
Abstract
PRINCIPLES OF PLANNING, DESIGNING METHODOLOGY, AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH ARE DISCUSSED. THE FIRST PART IS CONCERNED WITH THE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO PRODUCE UTILIZABLE RESEARCH. THE NEXT SECTION VIEWS THE CHANGE AGENT, OR CONSULTANT, AS A RESOURCE FOR BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE PRODUCER OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE CONSUMER. THE SECTION ON METHODS GIVES SEVERAL SPECIFIC WAYS OF HELPING IMPROVEMENT OR DESIRED CHANGE COME ABOUT. THE CRITERIA FOR ADOPTION OF ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE ARE PRESENTED ALSO. TWO CHECKLISTS FOR CHANGE AND A BIBLIOGRAPHY CONCLUDE THIS MANUAL.
