Abstract
A QUESTIONNAIRE REGARDING STUDY-RELEASE POLICIES WAS SENT TO THE DIRECTORS OF THE 50 STATE DEPARTMENTS OF CORRECTIONS AND TO THE DIRECTORS OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS. THE QUESTIONNAIRE REQUESTED COPIES OF LAWS OR POLICIES RELATING TO STUDY-RELEASE. FORTY STATES, D.C., AND THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS REPORTED THEY HAVE A STUDY-RELEASE PROGRAM.
