This sixth issue (January-March 2016) of the Quarterly Newsletter of the Violence Reduction Network (VRN) presents descriptive and statistical information on activities and highlights from the 5 original VRN sites for Phase 1, the additional five sites for Phase 2, and three recently added sites (Milwaukee, WI; New Orleans, LA; and St. Louis, MO).
Abstract
These three sites have identified focus areas in strategically planning for VRN resource delivery. Highlights for these sites address emerging activities being planned and activities in progress in the three new sites. The "Peer Exchange Spotlight "reports on the Los Angeles Police Department's Crime fighters Conference. The "Federal Law Enforcement Spotlight" describes the work and resources of the U.S. Marshals Service. Opportunities for training feature the VRN website, webinars and podcasts, and contact information. VRN cumulative statistics as of March 31, 2016, cover numbers of training hours, resource requests, training and technical assistance deliveries, participant rating, and customer satisfaction ratings. A graphic exhibit shows the connections between the various VRN sites and their link to various VRN training, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer interaction opportunities.
