Annotation
This web page provides access to nationwide performance reports for projects funded under the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) for each fiscal year of the period 1998 - 2015 for victim assistance projects and for 1998 - 2016 for victim compensation projects.
Abstract
The performance reports summarize funding information and the number of victims served by victim types and service categories. For victim assistance projects, the nationwide performance reports show the annual state funding amounts allocated to the victim assistance projects, with amounts showing appropriations, criminal fines and penalties, assessments, and "other." The total number of agencies funded from the federal grant is shown, along with the number of sub-grants funded from the VOCA federal grant. For nationwide performance reports on victim compensation, data are provided on the number of victim compensation applicants and victim demographics (race/ethnicity, gender, and age); the victim compensation application process; and payment statistics. The latter include number of claims paid by crime type, amount paid by crime type, and amount paid by expense type.
