Freedom of Information Act

OJP FOIA Library

Beginning August 2015, the Office of Justice Programs conducted a six-month pilot to test the feasibility of publishing records released to individuals under the Freedom of Information Act, except those that fall under the Privacy Act of 1974. Under the Proactive Disclosure Pilot, a release to one person results in a release to the public.  OJP's participation in the pilot is limited to records requested after August 3, 2015, and maintained by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. All documents released under the pilot may be posted here in the OJP FOIA Library. Comments may be sent to the Office of Information Policy at [email protected].
