Understanding the Effects of the Pandemic for Domestic Violence Victims

Event Dates
Eastern
Location
Online

Domestic violence is a pattern of coercive, controlling behavior that can take the form of physical, sexual, financial, and emotional abuse.

Now, evidence shows what service providers long suspected. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the domestic violence crisis by further isolating many people from family, friends, and support systems; and created even deeper economic and emotional hardship.

Register now to hear from Federal Government representatives, researchers, and service providers about how COVID-19 has impacted the occurrence of domestic violence across the country as they cover—

  • an analysis of domestic violence calls,
  • the inequities experienced by underserved populations, and
  • the challenges service providers experienced and their innovative responses to help those in need.
