Training & Technical Assistance

Following are examples of federally-supported training and technical assistance resources and websites:

Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network (ATTC)
Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, ATTC seeks to increase the knowledge and skills of all professionals who intervene in the lives of substance abusers and to foster alliances to support and implement best treatment practices.

Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC)
BJA NTTAC serves as a major source of justice-related training and technical assistance information and resources and offers specialized assistance on current laws and evolving trends affecting the criminal justice field.

Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Guidelines
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Guidelines are designed to help juvenile drug treatment court staff improve the lives of the youth they serve.

National Drug Court Institute (NDCI)
With funding support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, NDCI provides comprehensive drug court training, works to develop more effective drug court policies and procedures, and disseminates important drug court research, evaluations, and commentary.

National Drug Court Resource Center (NDCRC)
Supported by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, NDCRC works to influence the design, implementation, expansion, and enhancement of treatment court programs through the development and dissemination of resources.

Veterans Treatment Court Enhancement Initiative
Through this effort, the National Institute of Corrections and the Bureau of Justice Assistance have partnered with the Justice Programs Office to develop and administer training and technical assistance for specialized screening, assessment, and case planning tools for veterans treatment courts.
