Abstract
The guide offers information on agencies involved in attempting to find missing children and specific steps that should be taken when a child has disappeared. The guide focuses on the police, the media, the distribution of photographs and flyers, volunteer agencies, and personal and family considerations. The role of emotions in decisions made by parents in the process of looking for a missing child is examined.
