This report outlines a survey that gauges police-officer support for community policing, capturing not only the officers' personal views, but also their perceptions of management support and the support of their peers for policing approach. The survey is described and key findings are presented. In addition, the paper documents substantial variations between and within agencies that can be useful for measuring organizational excellence in the realm of community policing.
