Throughout the episode, Gibbs recounts his early life and how his addiction and substance abuse problems developed; he discusses his experiences with rehabilitation and the criminal justice system, including troubles that plagued him through community re-entry and probation, and his journey to recovery, and his recent celebration of three years of being clean and sober.
