Over 1,000 works, roughly covering the period of 1930-60, are presented on the topic of violent and aggressive behavior. A separate bibliography on corrections organization, services, and staff is appended.
Abstract
Most works were originally published in psychological and medical journals and include several international studies. Topics covered include inmate and gang violence, aggression in juveniles, the motivation of the murderer, sexual aggression, psychopathic personalities, and hostility and self-esteem. The corrections bibliography lists over 100 references on corrections administration, management, decisionmaking, and effectiveness; probation and parole, and staff supervision and training.
