TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN ESTABLISHING SHORT RANGE AND LONG RANGE GOALS AND DEVELOPING PLANNING GUIDELINES.
Abstract
BECAUSE OF BUDGET CUTBACKS AND A WIDENING OF ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES, THE CIRCUIT COURT'S ABILITY TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE BECAME LIMITED, AND THE COURT WAS BEING MANAGED ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS. THIS INVESTIGATOR, HOWEVER, FOUND THAT SEVERAL ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES WERE ALREADY UNDERWAY TO COPE WITH THESE PROBLEMS. THE AUTHOR, NEVERTHELESS, MADE PROPOSALS COVERING RECORDS AND CALENDARING, PLANNING, AND RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. THEY INCLUDED SUCH SPECIFICS AS REQUIRING THE COURT TO SET PRACTICAL GOALS, AND INSTITUTE PRUDENT CHANGES WHEN NECESSARY TO MEET THOSE GOALS, DOING ITS OWN MICROFILMING, REQUIRING DUPLICATE FILING ON ALL CASE DOCUMENTS, AND MERGING THE CALENDARING AND RECORD-KEEPING SECTIONS INTO THE SAME PHYSICAL SPACE...BS
