Abstract
PART ONE OF THE TEST COMPARES THE APPLICANT'S DECISION MAKING PROCESSES AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS POLICE WITH THE PROFESSIONAL CONSENSUS OBTAINED IN PRE-TESTING AND DEVELOPMENT. PART TWO MEASURES ATTITUDINAL FACTORS ESSENTIAL TO EFFICIENCY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. THESE FACTORS INCLUDE COMPOSURE, ACCEPTANCE/REJECTION, SELF-CONFIDENCE AND OPTIMISM, HUMANISTIC VALUE PRIORITIES AND OPTIMISM. AN INSTRUCTION BOOK FOR TEST ADMINISTRATION, AN ANSWER SHEET, SCORING OVERLAYS, AND INTERPRETATION INSTRUCTIONS ARE PROVIDED. BOTH A FINAL REPORT DETAILING THE TEST DEVELOPER'S COMPLIANCE WITH CONTRACT GUIDELINES AND A TECHNICAL REPORT GIVING DATA ON THE TEST'S VALIDITY ARE INCLUDED.
