In this issue of the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, OJJDP News at a Glance, several areas of focus are reviewed and discussed. These include agency news, new publications, upcoming funding initiatives and solicitations, and a brief overview of FY 2002 Final Program Plan. In regards to OJJDP, agency information is provided on the new OJJDP administrator, the observance of National Missing Children’s Day by OJJDP and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and coordinating juvenile justice and delinquency prevention activities. Highlights of a forthcoming OJJDP publication entitled, International Parental Kidnapping: A New Resource for Law Enforcement Intervention, is presented. OJJDP’s program priorities outlined in the 2002 program plan consist of youth reentry programs, capacity building in community and faith-based organizations, juvenile drug use prevention programs, and school violence prevention programs.
