Abstract
THIS STUDY DEMONSTRATES, THROUGH EXAMPLES, HOW ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNIQUES ARE USED OR MISUSED AND WHAT DIFFICULTIES THESE PRESENT IN THE EVERYDAY FUNCTIONING OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS. THE METHODOLOGY AND OBJECTIVES OF THIS STUDY ARE FIRST DESCRIBED. THE EVOLUTION OF LEGISLATION BEARING BEARING ON JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL WORK IS THEN EXPLORED. A DETAILED STUDY OF THE ORGANIZATION OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL SERVICES IN MAHARASHTRA AND DELHI IS ALSO INCLUDED. PROCEDURES AND MANAGEMENT, FINANCIAL PROCEDURES, AND ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNIQUES ARE THEN DISCUSSED ON THE BASIS OF THIS COMPARATIVE STUDY.
