Abstract
THE ALABAMA LAW ENFORCEMENT PLANNING AGENCY STANDARDS AND GOALS ADVISORY BOARD BEGAN ITS PROJECT OF EXAMINING THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMISSION ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE STANDARDS AND GOALS REPORTS AND OTHER RELEVANT STANDARD SETTING EFFORTS IN SEPTEMBER 1974. THE BOARD WAS MANDATED TO ADDRESS EACH OF THE STANDARDS CONTAINED IN THE ADVISORY COMMISSION REPORTS AND TO EITHER ACCEPT, REJECT, OR MODIFY THEM, AND TO CONSIDER ANY OTHER STANDARDS EITHER FROM OTHER STUDIES OR FROM THE BOARD ITSELF. INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT ARE THE STANDARDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM THIS COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW AND ANALYSIS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
