This materials kit was developed by the Alliance for a Drug-Free Minnesota to help communities and schools coordinate drug abuse prevention programs and promote drug-free living.
          Abstract
The Alliance was formed by the State's Attorney General in 1987 to encourage Minnesota communities to take part in substance abuse prevention. The materials kit includes a fact sheet, a manual that gives step-by-step instructions for use in designing a community prevention effort, and two information bulletins describing activities and results of programs initiated by the Alliance. In addition, three brochures describe an April 1990 conference focusing on student concerns, a summary of Minnesota's new law relating to drug-free school and park zones, and a contest presented in cooperation with the Minnesota Twins baseball team and designed to recognize drug and alcohol abuse prevention activities.
