This appendix provides an alphabetical listing by state or area of worldwide terrorism since World War II.

Abstract

Information provided on acts of terrorism by the state includes both the internal and external (international) targets of such terrorism. Terrorism directed against the state is delineated in terms of domestic revolutionary terrorist organizations and outside supporters and state-supported terrorist groups. Targets and groups involved in international terrorism also are included. The listing includes 77 states/areas, and shows a predominance of Middle Eastern terrorist groups.
