This Statistical Supplement presents data on Arkansas' appellate courts, general jurisdiction courts, limited jurisdiction courts, and three "miscellaneous" courts for calendar year 2004.
Abstract
Tabular and graphic data for the Arkansas Supreme Court show caseload activity, petition activity, written opinions, disposition summary, and a 3-year comparison of the number of days from submission to decision, record filing to submission, trial to record filing, and filing to trial. Data on the Court of Appeals also address caseload activity, petition activity, written opinions, disposition summary, and a 3-year time study for case processing. A map shows the State's Court of Appeals districts. Tables and charts for the State's general jurisdiction courts indicate circuit courts' caseload activity, State case processing time, statewide filings by case type, total cases filed (circuit court and chancery and probate court), ranking of circuit courts by filings per judge, circuit court disposition rate, circuit court pending cases over 2 years old, criminal caseload summary, civil caseload summary, domestic relations caseload summary, and probate and juvenile caseload summaries. For limited jurisdiction courts, data show district and city courts statewide summary, district court filings, district court caseload summary, and city court caseload summary.
