Abstract
The first column presents the statutorily mandated law enforcement response in domestic violence cases where the victim does not have a restraining order from the courts. These laws are generally supplementary to the common law rule and allow for discretionary misdemeanor and felony arrests. The arrest standard and threshold of harm/offenses are noted. The second column notes violations of protection orders, restraining orders, and no-contact orders.
