Abstract
Resources are given for all 50 States and Australia, Europe, Asia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, the Phillipines, Puerto Rico, and Africa. Articles discuss the myth and reality of wife beating, services that can be provided for battered women without having a shelter, marriage counseling and other 'options,' and agoraphobia. Attention is given to practical information on shelter procedures; the Abuse Prevention Act of Massachusetts; the Feminist Party of Canada; sexist language; medicine and patriarchal violence; counseling for men who abuse their wives; and RAVEN (Rape and Violence End Now), a group of men working to end violence against women. Over 150 annotated references on films and publications are supplied. Funding resources available in California; Washington, D.C.; Maryland; Massachusetts; Michigan; New Jersey; New York; Oregon; and Virginia are listed, and Government funding procedures are explained.
