Abstract
THIS VOLUME IS PART OF AN OVERALL DESIGN FOR AN ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM TO AID CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL AGENCIES IN CASE PROCESSING AND THE MANAGEMENT FUNCTION. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PRESENTED FOR EACH CASE DECISION- THE NATURE OF THE DECISION AND WHO MAKES IT, ALTERNATIVES AVAILABLE TO THE DECISION-MAKER, AND DATA ELEMENTS SUCH AS ITEMS, CATEGORIES, OR REPORTS WHICH ARE NEEDED BY THE DECISION-MAKER. THE DECISIONS ARE ORGANIZED ACCORDING TO THE TWO MAJOR CORRECTIONAL DEPARTMENTS - THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND THE YOUTH AUTHORITY. FOR EACH DEPARTMENT, THE DECISIONS RELATED TO THE FUNCTIONS OF RECEPTION AND DIAGNOSIS, CONTROL AND TREATMENT, AND PAROLE ARE GROUPED SEPARATELY. FOR THE OTHER VOLUMES ON THIS SYSTEM DESIGN, SEE NCJ-009002, NCJ-009003, AND NCJ-008996. AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED
