A CASE STUDY OF A SNOWMOBILE TRIP TAKEN IN THE NORTHWEST TERRITORIES OF CANADA IN FEBRUARY.
Abstract
THE SEVENTY-TWO BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURE CAUSED SOME PROBLEMS. CARBURETORS ICED UP, WHEEL BEARING GREASE SOLIDIFIED, MOTOR MOUNT BOLTS CAME LOOSE, AND DRIVE BELTS BECAME TOO STIFF TO FLEX. DESPITE IT ALL, THOUGH, THE PATROL WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THE AUTHOR POINTS OUT THAT IT WAS TOO COLD FOR DOGS WALKING, AND AIRPLANES.
