          Abstract
The CPRC works to see that the best equipment possible is available to Canadian police agencies and to offer Canadian industry the opportunity to develop a capability in this specialized market. Its role involves interaction between the police community, government, industry, universities, and other research organizations. CPRC staff includes personnel of the National Research Council and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Reports on 1991-1992 research projects cover resource management technology, investigation in the form of detection and identification, and prevention, i.e., protection, health and safety, and countermeasures.
