A catalogue of the holdings of the special library for criminology at the University of Tubingen is presented.
Abstract
The extensive collection of the library focuses on criminology and related fields, with particular emphasis on literature from outside Germany. The catalogue is ordered by topics and subtopics, and books are listed alphabetically within the subtopic sections. Main topics include general magazines, handbooks, and reference works; the evolution of laws in society; informal control and socialization; formal control and socialization; prosecution, sentencing, and alternative penalties; crime measurements and statistics; crime, society, and social definitions; and crime, personality, and individual behavior. Also covered are social and familial problems; special crime areas such as terrorism, social unrest, abuse of power, white collar crime, child molestation and others; offender groups and categories; criminal prosecution and corrections; and specialized areas including international law and conventions. An author and title index, as well as a subject index are supplied.
