This workbook is designed to facilitate police training in matters related to the chain of evidence and specifically focuses on confessions, autopsies, and trial proceedings.
          Abstract
The workbook contains scenarios accompanied by questions. The first two chapters cover the crime scene, evidence collection and interpretation, fingerprints, and suspect identification. Subsequent chapters deal with confessions, Miranda rights, interview and interrogation, the seizure of evidence, medical examinations, autopsy findings, and the presentation of evidence in court. The authors note failure to pass collected evidence through proper channels can negate the value of the evidence in court. 8 figures
